Volunteer work and values

Randall Cooper has a long history of commitment to our local and regional community. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Kent Center, Inc. Kent Center is a nonprofit organization that provides highly personalized 24-hour services to adults with a broad spectrum of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Randy is on the board of the MainStay in Rock Hall, MD. The MainStay's mission is to invigorate the cultural experience of Eastern Shore life by presenting outstanding musical programming and to provide a setting for creativity, inquiry and conversation.

He has served on numerous boards in the community including Kent School and The Gunston School. Randy is committed to strengthening opportunities for individuals to excel and live fulfilling lives.

Sarah Schut is deeply committed to promoting reading, learning, and the arts. She serves on the board of RiverArts where she is chair of the development committee as well as serving on the finance committee. Sarah has a strong belief that creative arts and access to learning open worlds to people and build strong communities.

Sarah has served as a Trustee for the Kent County Public Library and on the library's finance committee. Sarah believes that vibrant library systems are essential to thriving societies. Libraries give the individual, families, and organizations access to information and opportunity to grow and fulfill dreams.

Following Sarah's undergraduate degree completion, she volunteered as a literacy tutor in Philadelphia where she learned about the challenges faced by those left out of the traditional education system.
